Pregnancy in a Field Role and Transitions.

On pregnancy in a field role and transitions.

Someone sent this image and feature to me.

I had utterly forgot about this.
looking at the image and writeup, I remember this was after my second baby and in the middle of a role transition. So nostalgic!! The anxiety and fatigue of a mum returning from maternity.

I was so privileged to be supervised during my second pregnancy in a field role by Chimuanya Onyejekwe and Olayemi Akinola, PMP, CMRP . They were so confident in my abilities with a bump and focused squarely on results and providing a safe space for me to thrive while in role. This is not the norm for most ladies pregnant at work. If you are leader grappling with keeping your female talents performing through their maternity phase. Reach out to these guys. I am also happy to chat about my experience.

The group photo features an image of my supervisor Chigozie Nwajiuba CMRP mentors and Discipline managers Chukwuemeka Umelo, Mukaila Ojikutu and Sani Haliru ..handing over my certificate of completion of one of the shell structured development programs.

I transitioned from a field based role in 2016 into the most defining period in my 10 year career till date.

Just putting this here as a reminder that growing your family and pursuing a career does not have to be in conflict.

It is difficult but with everyone playing their position at home and in the workplace, It gets better. We will keep making progress.

Based on the response and views. Let’s call this a prologue to a series on maternity and career conversations.
